The tea rooms were established in 1992 by Sandra & Peter Foster and is still owned and run by the same family.
The building was originally fisherman's cottages and has evolved ever since.
The Tea Rooms are panelled in Indian Teak from a Royal Navy Frigate built in Calcutta in 1820 & the amazing wrought Iron gates were reputedly designed by Walt Disney, a friend of the original owner.
We open for the occasional evening for themed dinner nights, keep an eye out on social media or in the tearooms as spaces are limited.
We believe in keeping things local and fresh.
Our menu includes fresh local ingredients and everything is made to order.
We use a local bakery, butchers, greengrocers and fishmongers. We sell local pies and our homemade sausage rolls. We even stock ice cream made down the road in Sheringham.
Cakes and scones are all homemade and baked in house by our staff.
We offer a range of homemade gluten free and dairy free options, including cakes, gluten free & vegan scones.
Our slow roast, artisan coffee is from Green Farm Coffee in Norwich. We use the Roma Blend for our espresso machine, and Café Dolce for our filter coffees.
In house we sell retail bags of our coffee of both Roma Blend and Mexico Mountain water decaff.
